Well, you might think that for the first post of the year (and counting down to the end of the blog) that the images I post will be momentous, life enhancing photographs – leave on a high, leave ‘em wanting more kind of thing. But no. I went for a walk, taking my camera and nothing inspired me, my iPhoto library has been emptied of anything vaguely usable, I expect you are all sick to death of shots of Milo, there are no flowers at this time of year, so I give you…….. *drum roll*……my scarf. Almost missed posting this tonight, totally absorbed watching the cricket in Australia (hurrah for us!) Now we have retained the Ashes, I can go to bed and have an early night for a change – well almost, it’s 1am – we have been staying up very late to watch it

Ten minutes or so after yesterday’s sunrise, this is what the same view looked like. Still, beautiful and quite eerie. It came out pretty well for an iPhone shot. I’m so glad I woke early enough to see it. Does make you wonder how many spectacular sunrises I’ve missed while snoozing in bed. Click to enlarge….
