Today, I went to Lyme Regis with my sister and her husband and spent a good part of the day fossil hunting. This is one of the many ammonites we found on Monmouth Beach to the west of the famous Cobb ( the harbour, made famous in the book ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’ by John Fowles and the subsequent film starring Meryl Streep). I’m going to write a fuller post about today on my other blog, Much of a muchness and will also post some more photographs of the amazing fossils we found there….

  1. I’m having major trouble (again) with my internet connection and am not able to load your photos. Cursed “technology”.

Will have to wait for the storm clouds to move through and view your blogs tomorrow. 😦

  2. So, I had to come back and look at this while my connection’s working.

The fossil is so cool!! It looks like an ammonite; is it?
