I took this photograph very early one morning as we were sailing out of St Peter Port on Guernsey to begin our sail back across the English Channel. It was taken directly into the rising sun so there is lens flare but I still like the shot as it reminds me of a beautiful day and a memorable trip.
Wow, that is really, really beautiful! I love the light, the flag and the softness of the Sea – wonderful!
Thanks, it turned into a beautiful sunny day. The Channel was like a mill pond (which as it was my first crossing, I was mightily relieved about – didn’t fancy crossing the shipping lanes in fog!)
I totally missed this one…how did that happen?? I think I was having some brain problems the last couple of days – not processing visual input or anything else. 😉
I think the lens flaring makes for a gorgeous effect!
Well, it does explain the light on the sea. I did try to remove the lens flare in Photoshop but the photo made no sense so I left it as it was…
