These are the shopping bags I keep in my handbag – got to think of the environment. They are called Turtlebags – so called as by using them in preference to plastic bags, they are helping protect Leatherback Turtles who mistake plastic bags which end up in the sea, for jelly fish and eat them. Interesting website, which talks about their conservation work with turtles in Sri Lanka and you can sponsor a turtle too. They are very useful bags, fold up small, yet hold SO much, only downside is it’s easy to overload them and then they are SO heavy to carry home. 🙂

  1. I used to have bags like these (not so colorful though)…I don’t know what happened to them all. How much weight does each one hold? I use canvas bags now when we go shopping. 🙂
