August 15th 2010

I’ve always has a passion for Italy (as you may have noticed). This is Portofino, such a beautiful place. It’s not exactly been summery this August so I am starting to yearn for hot Mediterranean sunshine, but with no prospect of getting any for a while I shall have to make do with looking at old photographs. It’s a bit of a panoramic shot so you have to click to enlarge…not a brilliant photo as it is scanned but it still takes me back…*sigh*.

  1. It takes me back too, thanks! Although, I have no idea whether I was there or not. Scary. Some memories stand out more than others: feasting in Rome, boating through the grottoes at the Isle of Capri… πŸ™‚

    • It just looks so…. Italian, I guess! Love Rome but have never been to Capri (have the trousers though!) so you have one up on me there. One more place to add to the ‘to visit’ list

  2. How gorgeous! Makes me think of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations where he goes to all these wonderful places and eats all sorts of super yummy looking food.

    • Wouldn’t that be a fab thing to do? I wouldn’t like to do one of those food tours where you end up eating spiders and other nasties but to go to my favourite countries and eat my favourite types of food would be heavenly. I shall start with a return visit to italy…
