This is the lake at Mangerton Mill near Bridport. The mill is a 17th century working watermill which has been turned into a ‘Museum of Rural Byegones’. The various outbuildings hold artists’ studios and craft shops and there is also a very nice tea shop (yummy carrot cake). You can fish for trout in the lake which is surrounded by ducks and geese, in fact, if you click and enlarge this photograph, you can see a couple nestling at the water’s edge.

    • Thank you, it’s very pretty and only a couple of miles from my home and I’m ashamed to say I have lived here for 5 years and have never visited before yesterday. :-/

  1. Cute ducks! Sounds like a grand place…lovely and has interesting shops. Of course to me, any place that sells food is a grand place. πŸ˜‰
