It was raining and I noticed in among the greenery, some bright red berries then I spotted the raindrops on the berries, so pretty. I only had my iPhone with me and Milo was jiggling about so it’s not the best photograph but it’s the best I could manage for today. I rather like the straight lines contrasted with the round berries and raindrops. I’m not letting you enlarge this one as it’s out of focus!
Very pretty! Can you find out what plant that is? 🙂
Just done a quick Google for ‘red berries in hedgerow’ and I think they might be Woody Nightshade
http://www.english-country-garden.com/flowers/woody-nightshade.htm
but I have to say I can’t remember seeing purple flowers like those earlier in the year but the berries look just like those. I’ll have to look out for the flowers next year to check 🙂
I wish I could see which leaves went with the berries. We have nightshade here too – looks just like the photo in the link! Thanks for looking it up!
You use what’s available when a shot like this presents itself. Great job. I love the droplets of rain – makes them seem even fresher.
Thank you! They look so juicy and fresh don’t they? Shame they are poisonous 🙂
